1. Overview
VELIO is a personal beauty direction system that provides non-diagnostic, evidence-aware makeup guidance. VELIO is not a medical, dermatology, or skin diagnosis service.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use VELIO, including our website, product pages, support channels, customer account flows, and paid Pro features.
2. Information we may collect
Account information, such as your email address, billing email, and basic account identifiers used to connect account, Pro access, and results.
Billing and subscription information processed through our payment provider. VELIO does not store full payment card numbers.
Support information, such as messages you send to support@veliostudio.com, screenshots you choose to provide, and related troubleshooting details.
Product usage information, such as feature interactions, page visits, mirror starts, capture completion, Result and Route use, paywall and checkout activity, device/browser category, referral or campaign information, coarse country or region, and general analytics used to improve the product and understand the purchase funnel.
Beauty guidance inputs you choose to provide, such as makeup preferences, occasion, desired intensity, routine context, uploaded or captured images, and image-based signals used to generate non-diagnostic beauty guidance.
3. Customer records and billing email
VELIO uses a verified Google or email sign-in to connect your account experience to an internal customer record. Your sign-in email, Result delivery email, and payment-provider billing email may be different.
VELIO may use internal customer identifiers to connect billing records, subscription entitlements, ScoreRun records, result access, Wear Memory, My Makeup Bag, and support context. These identifiers are operational records and are not intended to be displayed as your public identity.
If you purchased Pro with a different billing email, VELIO may ask you to verify that billing email before linking the entitlement to your signed-in customer record. If you contact support about billing, cancellation, refund, or account status, include the checkout email so we can locate the correct payment record.
4. How we use information
To provide, maintain, and improve VELIO and its personalized makeup guidance features.
To process subscriptions, verify Pro access, manage entitlement state, and support billing-related requests.
To connect Today Read results, Pro access, Tomorrow Strategy availability, and account state.
To respond to customer support requests and troubleshoot product issues.
To improve capture quality, analysis reliability, product safety, user experience, and site performance.
To prevent abuse, protect the integrity of the service, and comply with applicable legal obligations.
5. Image and analysis-related information
VELIO may process images or image-derived signals when you choose to use capture, upload, or analysis features.
VELIO uses this information to provide beauty-focused guidance such as base stability, finish direction, tone direction, placement guidance, and touch-up suggestions.
VELIO may store result-related records, such as score outputs, confidence information, selected guidance, captured image references, and analysis metadata, when needed to provide history, results, Pro features, or product improvement.
VELIO does not provide medical diagnosis, skin disease detection, dermatology advice, or health treatment recommendations.
You should not upload images that you do not have permission to use.
6. Payments and subscriptions
Paid subscriptions may be processed by a third-party payment provider. Payment providers may collect and process billing information according to their own terms and privacy policies.
VELIO may receive limited subscription status information, such as plan type, payment status, checkout identifiers, provider customer identifiers, customer email, subscription identifiers, period end date, and entitlement status, so that Pro features can be activated or managed.
VELIO does not store complete credit card numbers on its own servers.
7. Cookies, analytics, and similar technologies
VELIO may use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies to keep the site functional, maintain sign-in, remember basic preferences, understand product usage, improve performance, and protect the service from abuse.
VELIO uses a limited first-party product analytics ledger to measure events such as Landing visits, Mirror starts, capture completion, Result views, Guided Route use, paywall views, checkout starts, After Checks, Memory use, and product-direction clicks. The ledger may include a hashed anonymous browser identifier, an internal customer ID when you are signed in, a sanitized page category, device category, referral or campaign information, and coarse country or region. It is designed not to store customer photos, raw email addresses, or raw IP addresses.
VELIO may also use analytics and experience-improvement providers such as Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, subject to their applicable terms and privacy practices. Sensitive capture and Result areas are marked for masking in supported session-replay tooling.
You can control cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Some features may not work correctly if certain cookies or local storage are disabled.
8. How we share information
We may share limited information with service providers that help us operate VELIO, such as hosting, database, analytics, email, payment, and customer support providers.
We may disclose information when required to comply with law, enforce our terms, protect rights and safety, or prevent fraud or abuse.
We do not sell your personal information to advertisers.
9. Data retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain account and billing records, resolve disputes, improve the product, and comply with legal obligations.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information, the purpose of processing, and applicable legal or operational requirements.
Billing, entitlement, support, and result-related records may be retained for operational, security, accounting, support, and product continuity reasons.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration.
No internet service can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so you should use care when sharing information online.
Please do not send full payment card details, passwords, or highly sensitive personal information through support email.
11. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or request a copy of certain personal information.
You may contact us at support@veliostudio.com to request help with privacy-related questions or account information.
We may need to verify your request before taking action, including by asking for the billing email associated with your account or subscription.
12. Children
VELIO is not intended for children under 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe a child has provided personal information to VELIO, please contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
13. International use
VELIO may be operated from and supported by service providers in different countries. Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live.
When information is transferred or processed internationally, we take reasonable steps designed to protect it according to this Privacy Policy.
14. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and may provide additional notice where appropriate.
Your continued use of VELIO after an update means the updated policy applies to your use of the service.
